2013 Spring:Must-Have-Items For Women

With the sun shining and the blue sky out in force, it really is time to start thinking (finally) about putting our spring/summer 2013 wardrobes into action.

Image

Color is the best way to freshen up your spring wardrobe! We recommend bright tops and colorful prints. You can pair them with items you already own like a blazer and a pencil skirt or a classic black dress pant.

From second-skin leathers and cigarette pants to tailored strides and slouchy boyfriend styles, trousers ruled the runway this autumn.

2013 Spring Apparel Fashion Trend: White dress design For Women

Bored with multi-color apparel or not knowing what to match your varied clothing? Here, we present you the most all-match fashion trend:Broderie, brocade or pretty lacework, white comes in every form this spring, which would definitely your first choice for every occasion, no matter in dinner party or dating.

What could be more appropriate treatment for your wardrobe in January than to detox it from noisy clashing graphic prints and the saturated color pops that punctuated our autumn outfits. Well, it may be a little premature to take on summer’s biggest color trend in full force while the ground itself is still white, but start as you mean to go on we say.
Orchestrating a wardrobe white-out will provide as much of a mental overhaul as it will a physical one. Sensing that we’d be craving purity and calm right around the time their summer collections hit the stores, many designers explored the soothing potential of white.
But don’t be deceived into thinking this is as straightforward as it looks; what sort of white you are demands some consideration. Will you be romanced by the broderie anglaise and pretty filigree fabrics seen at Valentino, Simone Rocha and Stella McCartney? Or will the clean, precise origami folds of duchess satin at Prada and Celine win your heart? Or perhaps the technical cottons at Marni, Chloe and Balenciaga will chime with your newfound wardrobe clarity? Whatever your trajectory, this is your blank canvas to run with.

Top to toe white needn’t mean you look pure as the proverbial driven; add intrigue to your outfit by layering sheer fabrics, as seen at Victoria Beckham, Emilio Pucci and Valentino.
Stylish Sixties-white shapes will look ultra-modern, but avoid the retro dressing-up box should match with bright accessories.
Technical mesh fabrics in sporty shapes, as seen at Moncler Gamme Rouge, Richard Nicoll and Stella McCartney, will catapult you into a new futuristic league.

Laser-cutting is the new broderie anglaise, this kind of intricately-cut white leather bomber is the jacket to covet this spring.
And finally, play with texture: Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing’s crocheted dresses mimicked conservatory chair wicker upholstery, while Christopher Kane embossed his optic leathers with swirling rose motifs.

Raquel Allegra Collaborates With Matches

CALIFORNIAN designer Raquel Allegra has teamed up withMatches to create a capsule collection for spring/summer 2013. The range incorporates the signature shredding technique the label is known for – a technique that developed from experimenting with oversized T-shirts recycled from Los Angeles County Prison.

“Raquel Allegra’s has a great aesthetic, her signature shredding feels modern and luxurious whether in cashmere, silk, linen or super soft cotton,” said Matches international buyer Natalie Kingham. “The secret to her success, I think, is that she makes pieces that are understated and effortless to wear – there is timelessness to her collections that are above trend and also practical as they are perfect for travelling, holidays and the weekend.”

Relaxed, pared-down and playful, the collection fuses the label’s urban bohemia aesthetic with shapes and colours that Kingham thought would appeal most to Matches’ customers. Silhouettes come loose and slouchy, prints are distressed and faded and the colour palette muted and subtle. The intention was, as Allegra says, was to “bring a bit of California to London”.

“Raquel has become a cult favourite with our clients at Matches, so it seemed a perfect time to collaborate and  we had so much fun working closely together on the Matches exclusive capsule collection – selecting our favourite pieces and working with colours and prints that we all adore,” said Kingham. “I can’t wait to start wearing it!”

Prices start at £190.00 and available at: matchesfashion.com from end of January 2013.
